Welcome to the South Cambridgeshire Decotative & Fine Arts Web Site

Art Education & Heritage Conservation

South Cambs Decorative & Fine Arts Society is small and friendly, with approximately 250 members. We have a programme of monthly illustrated Lectures (except for July and August) on a broad spectrum of arts related topics, e.g. painting, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, furniture, architecture, garden design, silver, rugs, tapestries and textiles, music, etc. We also arrange Special Interest Days, Visits and Society Holidays.

SCDFAS is affiliated to the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS), which has over 330 member societies and more than 90,000 individual members. The NADFAS logo is based on the acanthus leaf.

There are three other NADFAS societies in Cambridge: -

The SCDFAS logo, designed by Mr David Williams, is based on a photograph of a stained glass window in the chancel of the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Great Shelford (see below).
